The concept has been created by a passionate mum of three who is a fully qualified science teacher, Nichola Fisher, and the founder of Rock it Science.

My Discovery Lab delivers monthly at-home laboratory boxes, full of cool experiments, exciting activities, and thrilling investigations – plus they’re all based on STEAM principles (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) to support your child’s learning.

Subscriptions are payable by credit card via a secured payment gateway, in one, four, eight or 12-month packages. Prices range from 131.25AED to 173.25AED per month depending on which package you select. Boxes can be delivered to your child’s nursery, school or home address, with free delivery to partner schools/nurseries.

The boxes have a new theme each month and you can choose from three age groups – 3 to 5 years, 6 to 9 years, and 10 to 14 years. They follow a specific order to build skills gradually and contain all the necessary materials to conduct up to five experiments.

Most importantly, everything is safe and non-toxic. You’ll also receive a colourful instruction booklet, featuring crazy characters, challenging activities, fascinating facts, silly jokes, and fun puzzles. Plus, for the younger age group, parents are given extra guidance to explain the topics.

The box we received for the month was in the age grop 6 to 9 years old and was themed “Blast Off! Figuring out how forces work”. My kids really had a blast making a quick paper rocket with straws. We have a few more experiments lined up for the weekend too!!
